Most solicitors are photographed in their own offices, behind a desk and, often, with books and papers in view. I wanted to produce a photograph that reflected Val as a person more than as a solicitor and removed him from his work environment. I managed to capture a thoughtful photograph of Val whilst he was looking away from me.
